I have had lots of projects on my mind, but no one can see them online. This time you can. I created a images hosting. Why? Firstly I have too much web space, secondly I want to do something good to the world (sounds naive, isn’t it). Click here to go to my Images hosting

This images hosting it’s not simple just put and get code. Every 100 placed image gets free web hosting placed on my web space and subdomain with an ending .spooxas.com . I can park a domain for you if you want that.

What you get? You’ll get 1GB web space, 10GB bandwidth and 100% uptime. There wont be any ads or pop-ups.

But you need to agree few conditions. At your web you can’t place any mature, illegal or copyrighted content. You can’t use your web to scam anyone. You can’t send spam through this server!

And finally I want to say not to add one image many time. When I’ll see that your images will be deleted and probably you’ll get IP BAN. So be smart and don’t do bullshit…

USB 3.0

USB 3.0 is comming fastly. We’ll now the final specification in the middle o this year. Now we know that it’ll be like 10 times faster than USB 2.0 . USB 2.0 reaches max 480 Mb/s, but it’s awesome if device can reach half of this speed. So USB 3.0 will reach 4,8 Gb/s! We really need that because now is normal to have Blue-ray disks, hard drives with terabytes of space and if you want to copy many of GB’s you need to wait hours sometimes even days to copy that.

Copper cables can’t reach speeds like that so USB 3.0 will use optical cables. Now they want to do maximum 2 cm long cable because if it’ll be longer it won’t reach high speeds.

The start of production compatible with USB 3.0 will be at 2009 and at 2010 will start massive production.

All today’s devices will be compatible with USB 3.0 so we can just relax and wait for this new awesome thing.

Hosting renewal

After my previous hostings providers servers have broken down I decided to leave Lithuanian hostings and started to search for another. I found JaguarPC catchy and ordered hosting for a month. I’m really satisfied NOW when I’m only using it for about 1 day Now my website is more faster and for the same price as in Lithuanians hosting i get 49GB space more and 290GB transfer more. You feel the difference? I really feel it.

I’m really satisfied with support. I didn’t needed to wait for 2 days to get answer. I waited max hour to get answer and they done within minutes what I asked for them. I missed all this in Lithuanians hostings…

I think my website is working much faster now, isn’t it?

200 years old mechanical robot

Yes, yes it’s really 200 years old. The robot was made by Pierre Jaquet - Droz and named “Author”. That robot can write love letters. That robot is really very tricky and it can write up to 40 long words letter.

When Pierre Jaquet - Droz created that robot it became one of the most wonderful and trickiest creation in the world. Most of kings ant emperors arrived to watch at that creation.

Oldest sound record in the world

A couple of scientists have revived the oldest sound record in the world. It was recorded in 1860 by Scott de Martinville. It’s called Au clair de la Lune - French folk song. That song isn’t fascinating and isn’t long too, but it’s very interesting to hear it. That device which was recording those sounds called phonautogram. Scientists find four phonautograms which helped them to revive those records.

Old programs versions

I really started to think that new versions of programs are needless. I tried to update newest ad-aware and my Asus just lagged and I needed to restart it to continue my other work. That made me very angry so I decided to search for older version. After along time of searching I found ad-aware in this website http://www.oldversion.com .

There are much more than ad-aware. I was forgoten about Spybot, iMesh, PowerDVD, cuteFTP and others. Now I’m having fun with them and my laptop is not lagging.

Who needs programs which eats many RAM’s if you only need maximum 5% functions of that programs? And you only need to do the simpliest things on that program, but it takes so long that you can make a cup of tea and read a newspaper while it’ll still do your job…

Yes, there are programs like Autocad, 3d studio max, Blender, Photoshop etc. which really needed to be created newer versions. But why it’s needed to create new version of Winamp? In it you just listening to your favorite music. So why I need to download new version full of “shit” and making CPU usage like 5 when I can use older version and my CPU usage is max 1%.

Now, before I download a program I’ll check for older version. Remember - newer is not always better!

Tool for game - Travian

It was so boring yesterday so I decided to program. I always wanted to make a tool for MMORPG that other can download it and use it. So I started to make a tool for game Travian.

This is just a start. I have many things to do and many things to change.

Things I want to do:

• Allow users to enter their all villages.
• Allow users to enter their troops for each of their villages.
• Allow users to enter their sitters and add troops for sitters villages.
• Allow users to enter their one hour production.
• Make a tool where you can see how much resources you’ll have after some days hours or/and minutes.

And a little bit more…

Things I need to change:

• Redesign . Now design is totally copied from travian pages and I think this is not good.
• Recode. I started to make it for myself, but now I want to make for other people. Now it’s codded in a “poor” programming so I need to change that code could be readable for other people.

As you can see I have many things to do, but start is not so bad. What do you think about this tool? Is it peace of crap or it has a perspective?
